As strange as it may sound, the branch of the stand is kiwi-fruit wood! It's not even considered "wood" but on old plants it hardens and twists like crazy. The big slab, if my memory serves me well, is cherry-wood.

The black material at the base and grip area of the stand is leather to protect the guitar from scratches.
