Tomb Raider 2D

In the mid-90's a French company called Clickteam (still in existence) released a series of no-code, game-creation applications. Notably, Klik & Play, Click and Create, and The Games Factory. Back then it seemed almost magical that you could create complete games with no coding at all and with such ease!
They were the innovators of a visual scripting system, called the Event Sheet, which to my eyes is more readable and closer to "real" programming than the established nodes-connected-with-wires system (see Unreal Engine Blueprints).

This system is still used today by their own Fusion 2.5 application, as well as others like Construct 3 and GDevelop

I had a lot of fun back then making clones of known games with The Games Factory, but I've lost them all due to a HD failure. Only one thing survived and it was this little rough prototype, which was an attempt to bring our favorite Lara Croft into a 2D world. There isn't much going on, just a couple of backgrounds and sprites, but I have fond memories of making this!
